CYCLADES – First Week starting from ATHENS

Saturday

ATHENS (KALAMAKI)

Reception and welcome on board of the yacht from 6 pm. Provisioning and dinner at seaside taverna of Kalamaki.

Sunday

KALAMAKI – KEA : 35 miles approx. (6h sailing)

Swim near the famous Poseidon temple of Cape Sounio. In the afternoon mooring at the quai in front of inviting tavernas. Visit of the quaint village of KEA and for the most courageous ones a walk until the Lion.

Monday

KEA – KITHNOS: 18 miles approx. (3h sailing)

The island is known for its hot springs (Loutra). With plenty of lonely rocky bays, KITHNOS is a peaceful place for swimming.

Tuesday

KITHNOS – TINOS: 30 miles approx. (5h sailing)

Visit of the religious island TINOS with its hundreds of dovecots, architectural really interesting buildings of the Venetians. Various quaint villages, particularly PIRGOS, famous for its marble artists.

Wednesday

TINOS – MYKONOS : 14 miles approx. (2 h30 sailing)

Visit of Mykonos with its white houses and narrow paved alleys - island famous for its night life. Dinner at night in a taverne.

Thursday

MYKONOS-DELOS/RHINIA : 8 miles approx. (2h sailing)

Those who are interested may visit the archeological site of DELOS in the morning by caïque from Mykonos town. DELOS– sanctuary in Ancient Greece and birthplace of Apollo and Artemis – is the most beautiful archeological site of the Cyclades with its splendid mosaic floors, marble monuments and lion’s alley. Mooring in the afternoon at RHINIA – sister island of DELOS.

Friday

DELOS/RHINIA-SYROS : 15 miles approx. (3h sailing)

Anchorage at ERMOULIS (town of Hermes – god of commerce) – administrative center of the Cyclades with its neoclassical architecture and two hills - one Orthodox and the other Catholic. SYROS is famous for its sweets (loukoumi, nougat) and its numerous convivial taverns.

Saturday

SYROS : Whole day at Syros

Tidying up and cleaning, provisioning, disembarkation around 9 am.
Those who continue the cruise may visit ANO SYROS, the Cycladic village on the catholic hill with its pretty little alleys and its rich cultural past with architecture of 18th century….

CYCLADES – Second Week starting from SYROS

Saturday

SYROS : Whole day at Syros

Those who continue the cruise may visit ANO SYROS… Reception and welcome on board of the yacht from 6 pm for those who arrive for the second cruise week.
Provisioning and dinner at a taverne in Ermoupolis.

Sunday

SYROS – PAROS : 22 miles approx. (4h sailing)

An island with many points of interest: the Byzantine cathedral of Perikia, the traditional fishing village Naoussa, the caves of Antiparos, the ancient marble quarries and its beautiful long sandy beaches.

Monday

PAROS – SIFNOS : 25 miles approx. (5h sailing)

The bay of Vathy, well protected from prevalent winds with its church and long fine sandy beach is one of the most enjoyable moorings of the Cyclades. The island has a long tradition in pottery and ceramics.

Tuesday

SIFNOS – SERIFOS : 20 miles approx. (4h sailing)

Livadhi with its fine sandy beach is prevailed by one of the Cyclades most beautiful villages. In the Venetian Times, the ancient mines reopened and this small island prospered again….discover it.

Wednesday

SERIFOS – HYDRA : 45 miles approx. (9h sailing)

HYDRA is known by its fight against Turks, in the Revolution 1821. Visit of the village of HYDRA, ancient port of the corsairs located within a small close cove. Its bright and colorful light inspires many artists. Without any cars on the island, mules and donkeys are the only way of transportation.

Thursday

HYDRA – POROS: 15 miles approx. (3h sailing)

The green island POROS owes its name to the small strait that separates it from the Peloponnese. The Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi (Source of Life) is located 4 kilometres east of Poros Town in a beautiful pinewood. Only a few monks still live there.

Friday

POROS – KALAMAKI (Athenes): 25 miles approx. (5h sailing)

Mooring at AEGINA at noon, swimming and relaxing before the arrival at the port of Kalamaki. It’s possible for those who like to visit the Plaka - oldest and most picturesque quarter of Athens.

Saturday

KALAMAKI (Athenes): Whole day at ATHENS

Tidying up and cleaning, disembarkation around 9 am.
