Read more about ourRules and suggestions for live aboard

A Typical Day on Board:

No two days are ever the same. The course of the day can be very different depending on the sailing distances, the degree of interest of the places to visit as well as weather conditions and wishes of the crew: A holiday combining the pleasure of sailing and the discovery of a region in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere ...

Waking up between 8am-9am: Breakfast, shopping, tidying up and preparation for the navigation.

Departure is around 9am-10am, it usually takes from 4 to 6 hours to arrive on the next destination, depending on the distance and the wind. If possible, we stop for a swim and lunch on board. The aim, of course, is to make the thrill of sailing a pleasant experience for everybody, every day. The skipper will be on your constant call to help you improve your sailing skills.

In the afternoon, the sailing boat will anchor in a traditional Greek harbour or remote bay, where you can either discover the local charms or just relax on board the boat and enjoy the beautiful Aegean sea.

Evening: At the end of the day, you can share your experiences of the day with the rest of the crew, crew, meanwhile tasting a traditional Greek "Ouzo". In the evening we will have dinner in an island tavern, where we will introduce you to the traditional Greek cuisine, or we can cook a meal on board. Before nightfall the skipper and the crew will discuss the itinerary of next day's voyage.

When to travel?

The southern coast of Turkey around Marmaris has a Mediterranean climate with hot summer and mild spring and fall.

We offer you two slightly different sailing regions: The Carian coast west of Marmaris with the southern islands of the Dodecanese and the Lycian coast east of Marmaris.

On our itinerary west of Marmaris with Greek islands the wind may blow a bit stronger in generally. Thus, specially in summer when the Meltemi blows, this might be the more sportive sailing cruise.

On our itinerary east of Marmaris you will be more protected from winds by the steep coastline. The sea is calmer here and ensures more peacefull and relaxing sailing.

April/May/Mid-June:

In spring it is not yet as hot as in summer and temperatures are rather moderate and perfect to appreciate the warm sun and blooming of the Turkish coast line. It's a pleasant time for sunbathing and walking around the tourist sites and little villages

Winds are moderate and thermal breezes allow relaxed sailing. While the sea is still fresh in April, it might be pleasant already from May to swim in the sea.

Mid-June/July/August:

The summer is hot and dry. Depending on the navigation area there may be windy days, especially in the west of the Dodecanese Islands where the Meltemi can blow. You can enjoy the twilight hours in remote bays to watch the sunset, stroll throuh the lanes of picturesque villages in hot summer nights, visit bazaars with all colors and scents of the Orient...

September/October:

Autumn is a very pleasant season to sail. Especially for those who do not enjoy the summer heat so much. The winds become more moderate. A rest- and peaceful time. The days become shorter with even more enchanting sunsets. The sea, which has been warming up the whole summer, is ideal for swimming. This is an excellent period for sailing.
